I'm sitting in the waiting room of the admitting office of Brigham and Women's waiting for a room to free up.
Yesterday we saw the cardiologist---the great news is the heart is fine. It's been through a lot but it is just fine...no worries.
However while we were here I had an abdominal CT scan because of some pain in my left flank area. They have found a 6 cm soft tissue mass (I read tumor) so they want to check it out. I'll be in the hospital for a few days. Tomorrow they will do a needle biopsy to get some initial information and then I guess we go from there.
Seems like there's a lot going on. Will keep you posted. Email messages always welcome. It's kind of a boring place here.

Hi, Katie. Rich talked to Dee this afternoon and told her the latest. Hang in there. We love you and we're (that means me, I guess) going through various cookbooks to come up with something other than meatball ziti for your next few meals.
