8 week milestone

Yesterday marked 8 weeks out from surgery. In one way it doesn't seem like that long a time for such major surgery. On the other hand, it feels like forever. My progress improves daily in baby steps, but as I look back to 4 weeks ago, I know I'm so much better than I was.

I have 2 more glorious weeks of R & R or healing time before the chemo and radiation start. Don't be surprised if I come around looking for some rides...to Hyannis...in the summertime. Doesn't that sound fun!

PT is coming along very well...much less pain and increased range of motion. That's the goal.

I also got my radiation tattoos the other day. Three very little ink dots (permanent, just a little something to remind me of this time in my life in case I forget) that are used to line up the laser beam at the same place every day.

I'm trying to enjoy the summer sun. I hope you are too.

Much love, Kate
