I just talked with Kate's nephew at about 3 p.m. He came by the house to pick up some of her uncle John's luggage. Kate is hanging on, but just barely. "She's peaceful," he said. "She's having a hard time breathing, but she's very peaceful." He doesn't expect her to last much longer.
